This morning I woke up early, and with a feeling of dread.  Joe Biden is extremely unlikable and seems mentally unsound, but Kamala Harris?  This woman is the definition of corruption.  The executive branch with these officials at the helm is truly a frightening prospect, here's an article that seems to agree.

Biden bets it all on Kamala Harris, a crooked cop

Biden leads Trump by double digits in most national polls, and more importantly, he's maintained a sizable lead in crucial states and among seniors. As it turns out, bunkering down in a Delaware basement and issuing milquetoast policy drafts while Trump tweets his way out of the presidency is a pretty decent strategy when you're not nearly as despised as Hillary Clinton.

But Biden might just have botched the most vital decision of his entire career.

Biden will be older on Inauguration Day than Ronald Reagan, our oldest president ever, was on his last day in office. His running mate choice is the most consequential in the nation's history given the reality of his age and health, and at every turn, he made it harder on himself. He boxed himself into choosing a woman after functionally besting Bernie Sanders, and then the killing of George Floyd spurred the push that he specifically pick a woman of color, and ideally, a black woman. The only people still standing on Biden's short list were Kamala Harris, Susan Rice, Karen Bass, Keisha Lance Bottoms, and Val Demings.

Of those women, only Harris won a statewide office, and she did so multiple times. Bass was obviously too old (only 66, but Biden needed youth) and too far to the left. Rice came with the baggage of Benghazi and zero proof of electoral appeal. Bottoms is just a mayor, even if it is Atlanta. Biden could have chosen Demings, the shrewd, churchgoing, and Harley-toting House impeachment manager who could deliver a crucial swing district in a crucial swing state (Florida), but instead, he chose Harris's celebrity over Demings's competency. Harris may have run her own presidential campaign into the ground, but the media melted over her, and she sure brings a big fundraising machine and telegenic face to the ticket.

Thus far, Trump has defined the race, often to his detriment. Two in 3 Biden supporters said they'd vote for him not out of support for Biden but to vote against Trump, a record level of negative partisanship, even for an incumbent. But in choosing such a divisive running mate in Harris, Biden may have just thrown Trump a lifeline.

Harris alienates both the uber-Left and libertarians thanks to her ham-handed, tinpot authoritarianism as a California prosecutor. It's hard to imagine Trump-skeptical independents now aching to pull the trigger for Biden with Kamala on the ticket, just as it seems unlikely that the 10% or so of Sanders supporters who sat out voting for Clinton are now persuaded to go back to the blue.

But the press acts more like paparazzi around Harris, and apparently, Biden thinks that media goodwill is enough to justify giving a woman who tried to smear him as a racist the keys to the White House. It's a risky bargain to make, and we're about to find out if the greatest gamble of his life was worth it.

‘This will be the year of the Biden Republican,’ Rahm Emanuel says

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has a chance to replicate an election strategy that helped elect Republican icon Ronald Reagan to the White House almost four decades ago, longtime Democratic politician Rahm Emanuel told CNBC on Friday.

Emanuel, appearing on “Closing Bell,” said he believes that the former vice president can win over disaffected Republicans with a platform that has moderate language to get behind.

“This will be the year of the Biden Republican,” said Emanuel, citing the appearances of John Kasich, former governor of Ohio, Colin Powell, secretary of State under President George W. Bush, and Cindy McCain, widow of Sen. John McCain, among other GOP members at the Democratic National Convention this week.

“Joe Biden will be a president we will all be proud to salute,” Powell said in his message. “With Joe Biden in the White House, you will never doubt that he will stand with our friends and stand up to our adversaries — never the other way around.”

Emanuel likened Republican voters mobilized against President Donald Trump to “Reagan Democrats,” the White, traditional blue-collar voters who crossed party lines to help elect Reagan to two terms as president. Reagan defeated then-Democratic incumbent Jimmy Carter in a landslide. The California Republican carried 44 out of 50 states in the 1980 contest and 49 states in the 1984 race.

Democrats must not only attract Republican voters who want to put Trump out of office at the end of his first term, but retain those voters under the party’s big tent, said Emanuel, who served as White House chief of staff under former President Barack Obama. He made the same case in a Wall Street Journal opinion piece Saturday, saying that suburban voters in areas of Arizona, North Carolina and Pennsylvania, battleground states that Trump won in 2016, can be flipped.

The lack of support for a “Green New Deal” and “Medicare for All” in the Democratic platform helps the party balance between the desires of the moderate and more progressive members, Emanuel said on CNBC.

With a broad coalition of support that stretches from four-star generals to Black Lives Matter supporters, Biden can leverage his decades of governing experience in Washington to “culturally move them into a comfort zone,” he said.

“My view is you don’t want this to be a transactional election,” the former Chicago mayor said. “You want this to be the opportunity of a transformational election.”

Democrats, looking to capitalize on a fractured Republican Party, featured a string of video endorsements from prominent Republicans at their first virtual national convention that closed Thursday.

The party, however, is walking a thin line as it tries to satisfy its progressive wing that is looking for transformational policies.

Big Tech fraud is totally not interfering in the 2020 U.S. elections (pardon the sarcasm).  Alphabet said outright that it would '...prevent another Trump situation.' following the 2016 Hillary Clinton Presidential Election upset.  Do you own shares of Facebook, or Google?  I'll bet you do, even if you don't hold stocks.  How?  If you hold any mutual funds, there's likely tech junkware/ fraudster holdings in there as most mutual funds are a basket of stocks.  Here's an article about still more reasons why #GoogleisnotaVERB, #GoogleisaSCAM!

Joe Biden's mysteriously disappearing "Dislikes" on YouTube

The number of DNC convention 'Dislikes' on video streams dropped Friday below where they stood Thursday night, causing suspicion YouTube might be suppressing negative engagement for Biden.

Updated: August 21, 2020 - 11:11pm

During Joe Biden's presidential nomination acceptance speech Thursday night, both his personal YouTube page and the Democratic Party's YouTube page saw strong, negative reactions from live audiences. In fact, "Dislikes" outnumbered "Likes," in real time.

Yet both pages' "Dislikes" mysteriously dropped in the hours after the Democratic National Convention (DNC) had concluded. The changing statistics led some on social media to wonder if the Google-owned YouTube platform was protecting Biden.

The number of Democratic convention stream "Dislikes"--or people pressing a button saying they did not like the content onscreen--dropped on Friday below where they stood on Thursday last night. The removed Dislikes could be a signal that YouTube is concerned about fake accounts or bots trying to influence the election or indicative of something else, experts said.

Tech giants have for years been in the crosshairs of Republicans for perceived anti-conservative bias.

There were many more "Dislikes" than "Likes" on DNC proceedings Thursday, but many of those "Dislikes" later disappeared, and the ratio shifted in the other direction. Monday's DNC proceedings, however, on Friday evening had more "Dislikes" than "Likes," though the ratio had tightened.

Just the News observed the drop in "Dislikes" in real time between Thursday evening and mid-day Friday, a trend observed by additional YouTube users as well.

A video posted by YouTube user "nina e" illustrated screen shots of the number of '"Dislikes" for the 2020 Democratic National Convention Livestream dropping.

"After seeing many dislikes disappearing on videos of the DNC Conventions, i [sic] decided to do a screen record to document the censorship in favour of Joe Biden. On this video you can see me refreshing/reopening the page of the video of the 4th DNC Convention , the dislike were 5,9k, and when I reopened the page, 2,1k dislikes magically disappeared🤷🏻‍♀️ while likes even increased...later on, the erasing grew bigger but i didn't document it. It is unknown if dislikes are being frozen by continuously erasing them as they appear.

"This is CENSORSHIP to hide Joe Biden's unpopularity, in order to motivate people to vote for him and suppress Trump voters."

Neither representatives from Google (which owns YouTube) nor the Biden campaign responded to requests for comment from Just the News.

"We have all these new metrics and we're trying to figure out what they mean," said data expert and pollster Scott Rasmussen, who conducts the Just the News' Daily Poll. "And we know that there's a lot of trolling that goes on with online social media platforms. So it's hard to know how to interpret these numbers, obviously, you would never like to have more negatives than positives. But at the end of the day, Joe Biden's challenge is that Joe Biden is never going to be a beloved candidate. His challenge is to be less disliked than Donald Trump, his challenge is to be less disliked than Hillary Clinton, and his entire campaign is about focusing attention on Donald Trump, and so all the rest of this has to be seen in that perspective."

Rasmussen noted that in 2016, many people said they voted for candidate Donald Trump because they were opposed to Democrat Hillary Clinton rather than being enthusiastically pro-Trump, and he said there could be a reverse now with many voters "holding their noses" to vote for Biden because they're anti Trump.

"Certainly there will be people who who do that, absolutely," Rasmussen said. "Many of them will be supporters of Bernie Sanders, and some of them will be 'Never Trumpers.' But yes, I would expect that will happen."

Rasmussen said that in 2016, there were 15% of voters who said that both major candidates were unqualified for the job, and that two-thirds of those voters voted for Trump.

"And I think this time around we may see a similar dynamic, where there will be a significant portion of the electorate, whether it be bigger or smaller than before who says both candidates are unqualified for the job," Rasmussen said. "And the question will be, can Biden reverse those numbers? Will two-thirds of the people be holding their nose to vote for him, or will two thirds be elected in 2016 and voting for Trump?

Regarding the YouTube question Rasmussen said the negativity toward Biden could be from different camps, including Democrats who are disgruntled supporters of former candidate Bernie Sanders, some non-Democratic bots or trolls and even possibly some organized anti-Biden coordination.

"I would assume that somebody coordinated, and I would it assumes it includes all of the above categories," Rasmussen said. "We have no way of knowing the mix. I guarantee you there are people who are going to say, ‘There's no difference between Biden and Trump, because you know they're Bernie supporters. I have no doubt there are other disgruntled people. at the end of the day, though, those disgruntled voters always come home. When they walk into the voting booth they're gonna say I have to vote against Donald Trump, if they’re a Democrat."

Not only does Kamala Harris have a history of keeping innocent people in jail and ignoring exculpatory evidence, she also bails out 'protesters'.  How many buildings has Kamala contributed to the burning of?

Kamala Harris-supported Minneapolis Freedom Fund bailed out dangerous criminals along with protesters

Minneapolis Freedom Fund, a group that took in millions in the days following George Floyd’s custodial death — thanks to support from A-list celebrities and political bigwigs, including newly minted vice presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) — bailed out violent criminals along with rioters/protesters, according to a report from a local Minneapolis news organization.

The Minneapolis-based non-profit took in an astounding $35 million in just a few days per a report from Fox 9 Minneapolis. High-profile individuals promoted the charity as a way of actively assisting those demonstrating in Floyd’s memory and against the actions of the Minneapolis Police Department.

The $35 million in donations was, of course, meant to provide bail money to protesters who were arrested by Minneapolis Police, but the group didn’t differentiate between peaceful protesters with clean records and offenders picked up for other, more violent crimes during the same period, Fox 9 reported.

“Among those bailed out by the Minnesota Freedom Fund (MFF) is a suspect who shot at police, a woman accused of killing a friend, and a twice-convicted sex offender, according to court records,” Fox 9 says. “According to attempted murder charges, Jaleel Stallings shot at members of a SWAT Team during the riots in May.  Police recovered a modified pistol that looks like an AK-47. MFF paid $75,000 in cash to get Stallings out of jail.”

The MFF also put up more $100,000 for an alleged murderer and $350,000 for “a twice-convicted rapist, who “is currently charged with kidnapping, assault, and sexual assault in two separate cases.”

When trying to deflect criticism, Greg Lewin, the interim executive director of the fund, made a key acknowledgment.

“I often don’t even look at a charge when I bail someone out,” Lewin said. “I will see it after I pay the bill because it is not the point. The point is the system we are fighting.”

Harris, who, as of Tuesday, is presumptive 2020 Democratic presidential contender Joe Biden’s running mate, promoted Minneapolis Freedom Fund in the days following Floyd’s death, as well, as protests (and subsequent riots) raged in Minneapolis and in other major cities, Daily Wire reported.

“Harris, D-Calif., a former prosecutor who served as the attorney general of California for six years, promoted the fund herself in a June 1 tweet, telling her followers that the group would be able to help protesters swept up in clashes with police as unrest gripped Minneapolis,” Fox News reported.

Despite serving as an attorney general, cops who worked in the state during her tenure warn others to beware that she is not on the side of law and order.

“During her time as California’s attorney general, she did not have the respect of line officers,” remarked a retired police lieutenant from Orange County. “If she plays the ‘cop card’ during the election, it’s phony. She is not a law and order candidate, something desperately needed at the present time.”

However, in the past this connection was helpful, in 2020, who knows?

Furthermore, Harris has consistently perpetuated the lie regarding Michael Brown.

In a tweet last year, Harris wrote: “Michael Brown’s murder forever changed Ferguson and America. His tragic death sparked a desperately needed conversation and a nationwide movement. We must fight for stronger accountability and racial equity in our justice system,” Law Officer reported.

We should also fight for truth. As a former attorney general, she certainly knows the legal difference between murder and justifiable homicide.

I briefly covered this the day after Stossel analyzed it.  Turns out, Kamala Harris was the only less fiscally responsible primary candidate besides Bernie Sanders.  In other words- Kamala promised more spending than Bernie Sanders (who by the way, despite being a complete economic illiterate and a Senator who has never authored a law should be the Democrat candidate).  Watch Stossel's breakdown.  It's astonishing.

Wow, how depressing.

When I wrote about about the “dangerous seduction of free” a month ago, I apparently underestimated the problem. We have politicians completely divorced from fiscal reality (the “Green New Deal” being a frightening example).

But the key question is whether the American people are actually getting seduced.

It’s not looking good on the Democratic side. Joe Biden is presumably part of the Democratic Party’s anti-socialist wing, which is encouraging. But all the other leading candidates are hard-core big spenders.

And it’s not looking good on the Republican side, either. Trump may not have crazy proposals for new spending, but in practice he’s been profligate. Indeed, I’m guessing he will wind up with a worse record on spending than Obama.

The bottom line is that the public sector already is too large in the United States. Yet we have politicians who want it to become an even bigger burden. In some cases, much bigger.

That has very serious economic consequences. Especially if it coincides with an erosion of societal capital.

For instance, I think some European countries have already reached a “tipping point” because of a dependency mindset.

Historically, the United States has been insulated from that problem because of a belief in personal responsibility. But ever-growing levels of dependency suggest that this advantage is dissipating.

I’ll close with a final observation about the candidates – Sanders, Warren, and Harris – who were identified in the video as advocating trillions of dollars of new spending.

How do they plan to finance this orgy?

  • Sanders has a plethora of new taxes, including class-warfare tax increase and middle-class tax increases, so he definitely wants to put our money where his mouth is. In terms of fiscal policy, think of him as Sweden.
  • Warren supports a bunch of new taxes, mostly on the rich, most notably a huge wealth tax, which surely would backfire but theoretically is a big source of money. In terms of fiscal policy, think of her as France.
  • Harris has some class-warfare tax hikes but is mostly promising a free lunch since there’s a huge mismatch between what she wants to spend and the new taxes she has embraced. In terms of fiscal policy, think of her as Greece.

For what it’s worth, I’m waiting for the Hong Kong candidate.

Don't get me started. To make a very long story short. I began with Nixon when I was in elementary school then to hippie culture democratic party then lost interest for awhile I woke up to the reality of the corruption and outright thievery. I am so disgusted with both parties and the entire system right down to fighting with the state of Michigan for 6 months to get my husband's unemployment. This was a blue state I say was as the Governor got hers as the court found her Coviod measures unconstitutional Thanks to her unbridled stupidity I guarantee this is a red state now. I am done with 70+ year old white men being leaders. These out of touch stuck up rich bastards need to go home. We need a single mother with at least three kids on a budget to run the country  They know about handling real life problems. They are great multitaskers,  keeping things under control in crises, and wise use of time and money. Also good organizers and dispute managers. We need someone who is in touch with the world the rest of us that aren't billionaires or millionaires. Someone that has worked for a living. Lobbyists and other financial interests need out of politics. Ancient Egypt had a better system except for the slaves. The Pharaohs heart had to be lighter than a feather. Their actions had to benefit all the people. True public servants. We lost that concept  Someday my dream would be to need no leaders. Where everyone knew their responsibilities and would execute their lives accordingly. Personal integrity would be the norm. Where the news would feature positive stories instead of headlines of fear and horror. To me that would be close to utopia
