We already have the domain in action for a couple years, but we aren't officially a nonprofit 503(c) science foundation yet!

We are in the process of becoming one, though.

Today, the science foundation gets founded.  Basically, all we need to do is meet with all three board members.  We'll:

 

  1. Affirm the purpose
  2. Identify board members
  3. Basic overview of activities going forward
  4. Current vs Future funding
  5. NSF grant for existing content to simply continue essentially in its current format (possibly with new YouTube channel specifically for the new science organization
  6. Let's start offering our favorite scientists the ability to contribute!
  7. Motions/Free for All!
  8. Did we miss something/ summary.
  9. Byeee!

Today, our second quarterly board meeting occurred.

Basically we only discussed the situations of our members.  There is no major news, except that the application for 503(c) status is able to be filed any time.  Everything is in a holding pattern right now, however there are some upcoming opportunities.  More updates will be forthcoming.
