We’ve been doing daily space weather for over 5 years. We’ve never seen this many filaments before. Likelihood of a large number of coronal mass ejections (CMEs) is nearly 100%. Only so much plasma is able to be suspended by solar magnetic fields. Solar flares are not a requirement for huge CMEs to erupt!
I did not feel well enough to produce any video content today, but for those wise enough to actually view our website- here’s an update. Chance for major flares and CMEs (coronal mass ejections) is very high. Many magnetically sophisticated and large sunspots pepper the solar disk.
