Polar Radio Blackouts
Polar radio blackouts continue as forecast! This is from the proton event we covered extensively yesterday. Also, we’re expecting two rather serious CME (coronal mass ejection) strikes beginning on March 31st.
Huge Solar Uptick Continues
We can expect CME strikes to begin early March 31st, but watch the sunspot number and radio flux! 157sfu for the 10.7cm radio flux.
Another CME is Earth Directed
Here’s initial imagery: Expect some rather serious geomagnetic storm conditions beginning in about 48 hours!

EARTH DIRECTED CME WARNING
Today’s CME, associated with an m-class solar flare appears in preliminary coronagraph imagery to be EARTH DIRECTED, very high speed and very dense. We’ll cover this in greater detail when additional data is available.
Relativistic Particle Event
We’ve got relativistic particles already arriving at Earth only ~20 minutes after an m-class solar flare! This means the solar protons were traveling at ~⅓c or ~33% of LIGHT SPEED!
