Have a look at the top pane. The CME which caused yesterday’s lengthy geomagnetic storm has a quite specific magnetic signature of ∆23nt. In the top pane, you’ll notice the b(t) value trailing off. That’s the back portion of the giant CME finally continuing away from Earth and on towards Mars’s orbit!
